![]() ![]() This is the Original Bead Balancer. The balancer is placed to the right or left of your torch (I usually have one on each side). When you set your mandrel on it you will be able to hold your bead perfectly steady in any part of the flame. The control you can get while adding decorations to your beads is just amazing. But the best part is the relief of stress from your hands and wrists. To understand how this tool works, put one of your beads on the end of a mandrel and spin it like you normally would if it was in the flame. Now set the mandrel on top of the index finger of your other hand two or three inches down from the bead. You will immediately notice how much more control you have and how much easier it is to hold the mandrel. I built the prototypes for this tool over a year ago and this version is the best yet. The mandrel support is seven inches long and will easily adjust to the same angle as your flame. The support shaft can be adjusted higher or lower with one hand. Each Bead Balancer is custom made. Before your purchase, let me know the measurement from your your workbench surface straight up to the center of the tip of your torch. I have built support shafts in various lengths so each tool will work perfectly with your torch. When Kristen Frantzen Orr tried this new tool, she said, "The Balancer keeps your mandrel perfectly level in any region of the flame so your bead is always centered and balanced." Sharon Peters says, "David's Adjustable Bead Balancer works really well, both for short and tall torches. I've tested it with a minor, a lynx, and a Bethlehem Starfire, with excellent results for all three - it allows me to easily keep the mandrel parallel and supported in the flame for even heating, and reduced stress on my arms and wrists." The cost for each Bead Balancer is $50.00. Due to the new postal rates, shipping cost will be the actual cost of Priority Mail plus 50 cents (Usually between $4.35 and $6.25. Please email me your zip code for a quote or calculate your own shipping cost). I accept money orders, personal checks, and credit cards through PayPal.
